No Emergency or Crisis Services

Stillwaters is not a crisis center and does not provide 24/7 emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact a 24-hour crisis line (e.g., 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Appointment Policies 

• Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee equal to the full session cost.

• Timeliness: Please arrive on time. Sessions will not be extended for late arrivals and may be canceled if you arrive late.

Payment Terms 

• All services are self-pay and the remaining balance is due at the time of service via cash, credit/debit card, or approved payment platforms.

• We do not bill insurance, but we can provide superbills upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

• Clients are responsible for verifying their own insurance reimbursement eligibility if desired.

Telehealth Terms 

Stillwaters offers secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services for clients in eligible locations. By using telehealth, you agree to:

• Have access to a private, quiet space for sessions

• Have reliable internet and functioning technology

• Refrain from operating a vehicle during the session

• Understand the limitations of telehealth (e.g., physical exams are not conducted virtually)

• Have access to, or ability to obtain routine medical equipment such as a blood pressure cuff.

We reserve the right to reschedule or terminate sessions if technology issues or environmental distractions interfere with clinical care.

Client Responsibilities 

By becoming a client, you agree to:

• Participate honestly and actively in your care

• Provide accurate health information

• Follow agreed-upon treatment plans

• Maintain respectful communication with providers and staff

Stillwaters reserves the right to discontinue services if safety, noncompliance, or inappropriate behavior becomes a concern.

You may not use our website or materials for unlawful or harmful purposes, including:

Termination of Care 

Stillwaters reserves the right to terminate the client relationship for reasons including, but not limited to:

• Repeated no-shows or late cancellations

• Nonpayment for services

• Inappropriate, abusive, or threatening behavior

• Clinical judgment that services are no longer appropriate

Clients will be given referrals when appropriate.

Changes to Terms 

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services or website after updates constitutes your agreement to the revised terms. The most current version will always be available on our website or by request.
