About Our Provider.
Hi, I'm Megan Jones, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC,
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care. My unique approach integrates both psychotherapy and medication management within the same appointment, allowing for a seamless and holistic treatment experience.
My journey into mental health was deeply personal, shaped by my own experiences with trauma. This path has instilled in me a profound sense of compassion and a commitment to patient-centered care, where genuine patient connection is at the heart of everything I do. I am passionate about providing resources to the community through specialized community outreach ministries, including developing psychiatric treatment programs which partner with women's resource organizations serving vulnerable populations across Northwest Indiana.
I welcome patients of all backgrounds and ages, though I hold a special interest in treating mental health disorders that disproportionately affect women. My areas of expertise include postpartum depression, chronic and terminal illness therapy, anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, abuse recovery, abortion healing, acute grief, infant loss, and menopausal depression. To support my patients, I offer a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Compassion Mind Training. I also offer holistic treatment methods, as well as psychiatric medication management.
Currently, I'm pursuing a doctoral education in nursing (DNP), with a specialized focus on bringing the transformative benefits of Compassion Mind Training to bedside nurses in acute hospital settings. This ongoing education reflects my commitment to advancing compassionate care not only in my practice but across the healthcare system.
